Information for selection

What to include in the brief.

  • Part drawings, photographs, dimensions, mass and finish
  • Every normal supplier, cavity, colour and material variant
  • Required orientation, datum, pitch and discharge height
  • Sustained rate, buffer demand and receiving-machine signals
  • Inspection, guarding, environment and access requirements

Compare part behaviour in the feeder selection guide, then include connectors, clips, seals and every credible supplier variation in the trial sample.

Straight answers

Common component-feeding questions.

Final suitability and performance are confirmed against the actual part and agreed trial criteria.

Which automotive components can be fed automatically?+

Typical candidates include clips, connectors, terminals, seals, bushes, pins, fasteners, pressings and moulded parts. Suitability depends on the real component, required orientation and receiving process.

Can oily or surface-treated automotive parts be handled?+

Potentially. Oil, coatings and swarf change friction and can affect tracks and sensors, so the actual production condition must be included in trials, cleaning plans and maintenance access.

How are model variants controlled?+

Compatible variants may use keyed change parts, adjustable guides, recipes and presence checks. Every approved variant should be included in the sample set and the changeover method should be part of acceptance testing.
